How early should I book?
I open my calendar for bookings the Summer before your senior year. Don’t wait to schedule!! I am usually almost completely booked by the first day of school!!!

Where will my session take place?
You choose your location! I shoot all over the state. If you book the Basic package, locations will be limited to select local locations. I will send you a list of my suggested locations after you book! (All sessions are shot outdoors.)

What time will my session start?
Sessions always take place in the late afternoon. The exact time will depend on the location you choose. (Some locations close their grounds at specific times.)

How do I pay my session fee? Do you offer payment plans?
Your $50 retainer must be paid within 48 hours of booking your date. I will send you an invoice via email. Your session fee and travel fee (if applicable) will be due at the time of your session via cash or check. Cash should be exact change and checks can be made out to Jessica Johnson. I do not offer payment plans and I do not allow early session fee payments. This is to help me avoid having to issue refunds in the event of a cancellation.

How much will I owe for the travel fee?
Travel fees vary by location and are calculated based on distance from my home. When I send you the list of suggested locations, it will include travel fees. If you have a question about a specific location’s travel fee, feel free to reach out to me! Travel fee is due at the time of your session along with your existing balance.
What is a location fee / how much will I owe?
Location fees are fees charged by venues to enter/photograph on their property. They are set by the venue/location owners and can range anywhere from $3 per person to $400-$500. If you have a question about a specific location’s fee, feel free to reach out to me. Many of them, I know off the top of my head. If I’m unsure, I’ll help you find out! Location fees are sometimes collected when booking the location and sometimes collected at the time of your session. This fee is in addition to your session fee and travel fee.

Is professional hair and makeup included?
No, professional hair and makeup is not included in your package, but I do highly recommend it.

What if it rains?
We will keep an eye on the weather forecast the week leading up to your session date. In the event of rain, we will reschedule to another date. (We will discuss this in more detail in the event of predicted rain.) Due to limited weekend availability, reschedules are often done on weekdays.

What if I need to reschedule?
Reschedules are sometimes necessary in the event of inclement weather, illness, or family emergency. Reschedules made for any other reason will forfeit the booking retainer and a new retainer must be paid to book another date.

What should I wear?
I will send you a full suggestion guide upon booking! It includes tips on what to wear and what to avoid!
Where do I change outfits?
Some locations have a restroom or changing room. Some do not. Outfit-changes in those cases are done in your vehicle or in a pop-up tent that I bring with me.

What should I bring to my session?
A full list of what to bring to your session will be sent to you with your “What to wear” guide!

How many people can I bring to my session?
Most seniors are accompanied by 1-2 people. Having someone there to help with outfit changes and to help hype you up is always great.  Keep in mind that you must be comfortable posing and shooting in front of the people you bring.

Can I bring someone to take a few photos with me?
Definitely! Check out the Bestie Add-On and Family Add-On options beneath packages!

Do I get to keep all the photos taken during my session?
No. You will receive an unedited PROOF gallery with all potential keepers from your session. You’ll then go through them and choose the ones you want to keep/download! (See package details for more info on how many “keepers”/downloadable images are included.)
What if I want to keep more photos than my package includes?
You’ll have the option to add-on/purchase additional images when you receive your PROOF gallery. ($10 per additional image)

How will I receive my photos? How long after my session will I receive them?
You’ll receive your downloadable images in a super user-friendly online gallery sent to you via email! Average gallery turn-around time is 3-4 weeks.

Can I order prints/wallets/wall art/albums?
Absolutely. You will have full printing rights to all downloadable images, but I’m also more than happy to help with print and product orders!

How long will I be able to access the online gallery?
Galleries will remain active/online until the end of the Summer after your graduation! Reminders will be sent out to make sure that you’ve downloaded them before the gallery is closed.
